Southwest of Sri Lanka, on the equator, the Maldives are 1,190 coral islands, forming an archipelago of 26 major atolls. It stretches 820 kilometres north to south and 120 kilometres east to west. 202 islands are inhabited, while 87 are exclusive resort islands.

This dependable schedule means that it is very easy to find Spinner Dolphins at certain times every day. And as a result, many Maldivian resorts offer morning or afternoon dolphin excursions to see Spinners. While nothing with wildlife can be absolutely guaranteed, you will never have a better chance to watch wild dolphins playing in their natural environment than right here in the Maldives.
